Governor Defunds Crisis Pregnancy Program

July 20, 2009 Governor Parkinson has canceled all funding for the Stan Clark Pregnancy Maintenance Initiative, which helps low-income pregnant women facing difficult pregnancies.  The Legislature funded the program at approximately $350,000, the entirety of which was eliminated by the Governor using the powers given to him by the Legislature to balance the budget.
