Kansas Senate Bans Sex-Slection Abortion

February 21, 2013 Yesterday, the Kansas Senate voted 37-2 to prohibit abortions based solely on the gender of the unborn child.  The Kansas Catholic Conference testified in favor of this legislation.  It is believed that most of these abortions target unborn girls for elimination.  Now the bill moves to the House. Abortion Clinic to be Opened in Wichita

October 1, 2012 It is being reported that abortions will once again be offered in Wichita, in the very same building previously used by George Tiller for his abortion business.  The clinic is expected to be open for business in January.  Please pray that this shameful development does not come to pass.

House Committee Holds Hearing on Death Penalty

March 15, 2012 The Kansas House Committee on Corrections and Juvenile Justice held an informational hearing on capital punishment yesterday.  The Kansas Catholic Conference testified in favor of legislation to end the use of the death penalty in Kansas.  No action is expected on such legislation during this session of the Legislature.
