Planned Parenthood Files Lawsuit Against Funding Ban in Kansas Budget

June 27, 2011 Planned Parenthood is suing Governor Sam Brownback and KDHE Secretary Robert Moser over language in Kansas’ fiscal year 2011/2012 budget that would effectively prevent the organization from receiving federal Title X family planning funds.  The prohibition on taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, was strongly supported by Pro-Life organizations.
