Yesterday, the House Federal and State Affairs Committee held a hearing on HB 2192, legislation that would deny in-state tuition rates to those living in Kansas without legal documentation. The bill would have the effect of denying in-state tuition to the children of those here illegally. The Kansas Bishops submitted a joint statement to the committee outlining their concern over the legislation.
